Malekith is willing to use pretty much any means to achieve his goals, but he certainly has no love for the Chaos gods. He planned to dispose of them as soon as they were no longer needed and it was Morathi who handled that side of things the most anyway. He also never allied with Chaos as such, rather he and Morathi, particularly the latter, enticed a few hordes of Chaos worshipers into aiding the invasion of Ulthuan to serve as essentially cannon fodder. He did flee to the realm of chaos to escape Teclis's spell during the battle of Finuval plain (due to the fact that the Chaos realm was the only place Asuryan's power couldn't follow him, Teclis having used his magic to ignite the flames which still smouldered within him) but this was out of sheer desperation. He didn't open any portals to the realm of chaos to escape burning to death in the flames of Asuryan, he just stumbled out of the fire and collapsed unconscious to the floor. Think we missed one?
